You can’t tell me the Viper-esque, SRT fascia on the Charger isn’t one of the best sedan front ends ever imagined. Good job, Ralph!

It will cost you over $50K to get an SRT product. Seriously, the SRT products cost more than any of Ford’s SVT items. In fact, they command a higher premium than the Shelby products! Those 392 Dodges are usually the R/T models with the Scat Pack, which gives you the SRT engine and the SRT fascias. That package only costs about $40K, so you need to spend an additional 25% over the R/T Scat Pack price in order to get SRT badges! * and more, of course!* Also, you can get the 707hp Challenger and Charger for the same price as the 475hp Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.

It makes sense why FCA wanted to make SRT its own brand.

I seriously think that “Trackhawk” will be the Jeep badging for Dodge’s “SRT.” How a 707hp SUV could cost the same amount as the old 475hp version is beyond me. Yes, tons of outlets keep quoting under $70k for this thing! Am I crazy to think that Jeep is testing both an updated WK2 SRT (which will be the WK2 Trackhawk) and a hellcat version? It seems logical for Trackhawk to be a street version of the Trailhawk trims. This way we can get a Renegade Trackhawk, Cherokee Trackhawk, and so on. Hellcat is just the name of the engine, so Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk “Hellcat” can happen. You could even do a Hellcat Wrangler, but since it wouldn’t be a street truck, it wouldn’t be a Trackhawk nor a Trailhawk, just an engine.

A 567hp BMW X5M starts at $99K. A 577hp GLE63 S starts at $109K. A 570hp Cayenne Turbo S will see you out $158K. Mark my words, Jeep is going to reveal the Trackhawk and it will be making 485hp, maybe 490hp, with a 0-60 mph in about 4.5 seconds. That will be the $65K Jeep we keep seeing and hearing about. Then, we’ll get the Hellcat one, which will come pretty much completely optioned out with everything Jeep offers in terms of technology and features. I’m going to bet you it will cost around $85k with a 0-60 mph time around 3.5 seconds. That is still $15k cheaper than any BMW MUV. Hey, it’s almost half the cost of a Cayenne Turbo S or Tesla Model X with the underscore (both of which will be faster off the line and hold their own in a drag race until 90 mph). Even if the Jeep were slow, it would still take away the Bentayga’s claim as the “Most Powerful SUV in...the WORLD.”

Those are just my thoughts on the matter, but hey, what do I know? I’m just some dude who has a keyboard and a steady flow of sweet, sweet WIFI.
